SHINee Fan Event in Japan Cancelled by the police

SHINee’s Japanese fan event cancelled by the police due to large crowds. As too many fans suddenly swarmed over their secret fan event, it was stopped by the local police. SHINee‘s popularity in Japan has caused local police to shut down an event 30 minutes before its scheduled launch. SHINee was going to open a secret event to celebrate the release of their new album The First. The event was to take place in front of the Parco Department Store in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 7.
More than 1,000 fans crowded around the scene, and about 30 minutes before the event was started, the local police stopped the event. It was the order from Shibuya police station that the event needs to be stopped because safety issues.

SHINee’s Key expressed his depressed feeling by saying, “We’re sorry that we can’t see you today,” In an interview held with the press after the event was cancelled, member Jonghyun said, “We want to repay our fans with a fan event to be held on December 24 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall.”

SHINee will perform on December 24 in its live showcase for its first Japanese album The First.
